Vaca Daffan Law invites applications from law students interested in fighting for economic justice on behalf of consumers.
Qualifications
Candidates must be excellent communicators and team players with a demonstrated commitment to social justice. Working closely with our founding partners, externs at Vaca Daffan Law will assist with ongoing litigation and help build new cases. They will be involved in legal research and writing, interviewing clients and witnesses, finding and evaluating evidence, and brainstorming strategies to achieve justice.
These are remote, unpaid positions open to those who can secure academic credit for their work. Applicants must be second- or third-year law students at the time of the externship.

Please submit the following in a consolidated PDF to contact@vacadaffanlaw.com: cover letter explaining your interest and identifying the dates and hours per week you will be available; resume; brief writing sample – preferably not edited by others; transcript (unofficial is fine); and two professional references. In the subject line of your email, include your name and indicate whether you are applying for the fall or spring externship. For the fall position, please submit your application no later than August 10, 2026. We will consider applications for the spring externship on a rolling basis.
